1     Step R foot forward

2-3   Step L across behind R, step R to the side making 1/4 turn R

4     Make further 1/4 turn R on ball of R foot & step L foot to the side

5     Rock/step R foot across behind L (body turns toward R

      diagonal)

6     Rock/replace weight onto L foot (body should face 6 o'clock)


7     Make 1/4 turn L on ball of L foot & step R foot to the side

8     Rock/step L foot across behind R (body turn toward L diagonal)

9     Rock/replace weight onto R foot (body will face 3 o'clock)

10    Make 1/4 turn R on ball of R foot & step L foot slightly backward

11    Make 1/2 turn R on ball of L foot & step R foot slightly forward

12    Step L foot slightly forward on R (you should be facing your starting wall)


13-15 Step R foot forward, step L beside R, step R in place

16-18 Step L foot forward, step R beside L, step L in place

19-21 Step R foot backward, step L beside R, step R in place

22    Make 1/2 turn L on ball of R foot & step L forward (toward 6 o'clock)

23-24 Step R foot forward, make 1/2 pivot turn L stepping forward onto L foot

Choreographers Note; Here's another old that I think is very pretty (I think it was

originally a slim Whitman song for those who know who he is!!). I tried real hard to

make this a beginner dance and although it has a few turns I don't think it is too

hard for experienced beginners. The suggested music is from Tom Morrell & The Timewarp

Tophands, How The West Was Swung Vol 6 WR Records. For an alternative you could try

any waltz about the same tempo, although many are phrased at 48 counts so they may

not have the same feel.
