CHOREOGRAPHERS NOTE: This is a first for me - the first time I have choreographed a

dance to non country music (the devil made me do it!), and also the first time I have

set out to do a dance to a pattern - if you're interested in the story read on!

The music is a song that I decided to use for my beginner dance Thursday's Cha Cha

some weeks ago, because I thought it was fun and has a great Cha Cha feel - most of

the class seemed to like it, and consequently I have had a lot of people asking me

about the music which I think may be a little hard to get here - (definitely an

import). I also find that when doing it at class I want to add variations to the dance

to make it a little more challenging, so I came up with the brilliant idea that  I'd

do a harder version that could be done at the same time as the beginner dance with the

same direction changes etc. - not quite as easy as I had expected, but as I often say

on these sheets " a challenge is good for the brain"

I hope you enjoy the dance - I know I say this often too, but I tried to keep it

'reasonably easy' so that the song can be enjoyed  while the dance hopefully offers a

bit of a challenge to the more experienced dancer.

This song, first recorded in 1959, is on my compilation NO. 2, and the original CD is

called Cha Cha De Amor on the Ultra Lounge label.

If for some reason you have no sense of fun  you can always use another cha cha song

that is phrased to 32 or 64 counts!!!
