This song has lived in my heart and been a part of my life ever since I first heard it all  those years ago.  I'm not sure why it has affected me  so much and for so long. The words are  beautiful, that's true, but I'm  sure it's the music and the wonderful sound of the Everly Brothers  that causes the  feeling I get every time I hear the song. Time has not lessened   the feeling - it's still as intense today as it was way back then.... and  I'm glad about that!
