COME ON OVER June 05 SONG: Come On Over To My Place by Daniel O'Donnell OR the same original song by The Drifters CHOREOGRAPHER: Jan Wyllie, 4 Pebble Court, Torquay, Hervey Bay, 4655 Qld., Australia Email: janwyllie@iinet.net.au Web Site: http://www.members.iinet.net.au/~janwyllie/ DANCE: 32 counts, 2 walls, 120 bpm, Easy Int, Long intro with slow tempo which changes to faster tempo just before start of dance. There are 2 sharp drum raps and the first step of the dance is on the second drum rap just before the word "come". It takes a bit of practice to master the start-- then it's easy. Written for Sue from Maryborough who gave me the music. Thanks Sue. Like many of the songs from the rock n roll era it's not of long duration About 2 1/2 minutes is all it gives us. Still that that's enough time to dance 8 full walls--and we won't have time to get bored! The dance is easy but you have to keep your mind on the job. The start is tricky because the music is slow initially and then right at the time we start the dance it changes tempo and trying to find to find the exact right time to step into the first 1/4 turn is a real test…..and you are bound to miss it initially - well, I did anyhow, but YOU might be smarter than me! (-: Hope you enjoy the dance AND the song. See you on the floor sometime…...Jan |
