I have written to this song before in the dim distant past but it's one of those

songs that has stayed in my mind (and trust me, that's a miracle these days! )

I guess it's the whole concept of the words that got me hooked because I do

believe that country life is the way to go…… in spite of the fact that I sold my

farm a few years ago and moved to the coast.  Country life is just so simple, but that

doesn't mean 'easy' because there is always something tugging at your heart

strings… things like drought and other weather related hardships and of course

when you have livestock you also have deadstock……. And just because you turn

on the tap doesn't mean you automatically get water either. 

Yes, country life is living with mother nature and she can be very exacting! 

It's a rather rewarding lifestyle though, you reap what you sow!
