1-3    Stride/step forward on L, step R beside L, step L beside R

4-6    Rock/step to R side on R, rock weight to L, step R beside L


7-9    Step forward on L & slowly pivot 1/2 turn R, transfer weight to R

10-12  Step L to L side, step R behind L, making 1/4 turn L step forward on L


13-15  Rock/step R to R side, rock/step L to L side, rock/step R to R side


       The following 6 counts are "Sailor Shuffles"

16-18  Step L behind R, step R slightly back & to R side, step L slightly to L side

19-21  Step R behind L, step L slightly back & to L side, step R slightly to R side


22-23  Step back on L, touch R toe back at 45 deg R (turning body to follow toe)

24     Hold

25     Turning body to the front step forward on R

26     Touch L toe forward at 45 deg L (turning body slightly L to follow toe)

27     Hold


28-29  Rock/step forward on L, rock/step back on R

&30    Making 1/4 turn L step L-R together in place


31-33  Step forward on L, step forward on R & pivot 1/2 turn L, transfer weight to L

34-35  Step forward on R, step forward on L making 1/2 turn R

36     Making 1/2 turn R step forward on R


36     Begin Dance Again


Note; the dance finishes facing the front on the last wall (9th)

On counts 7-8-9 do this instead of pivoting

1-2&3 Step forward on L, slide R to R, step R beside L, touch L heel forward and look

      down at floor

Choreographers Note; I wrote this waltz to a song by David Ball for the choreography

competition which was held at the Black & White Ball, Gold Coast, July 1998. On the

cover of the CD David Ball is Standing under a massive mirror ball. You can see "I

Hope" why I had to call this dance "The Ballroom Waltz". And I sincerely hope you

have a Ball learning it.
