Written by request of the  Country Line Dance Association Singapore, who are very

adamant about the preservation of country music for line dancing. They wanted an

intermediate level dance to this song. It was my great pleasure to oblige and I'll

teach "Country Music Forever (In Singapore)" at my coming Singapore workshops.                                         3 RESTARTS

Step Across Back 1/4  Fwd 1/4  Back 1/4, Rock Back Fwd Fwd Back

1,2     Step R across L, making 1/4 right step back on L

3,4     Making 1/4 R step fwd on R, Making 1/4 R step back on L (now facing 9 0'Clock)

5,6,7,8 Rock/step back on R, Rock fwd on L, Rock/step fwd on R, Rock back on L

1/2 Triple, Shuffle Fwd,  Shuffle 1/2 Back, 1/4 Rock Replace

9&10    Making 1/2 right triple step R,L,R  (now facing 3 o'clock)

11&12   Shuffle fwd L,R,L

13&14   Making 1/2 left shuffle back R,L,R  (towards 3 o'clock but facing 9 o'clock)

15,16   Making 1/4 left rock/step L to left side, Rock/replace wt sideways onto R

This song has been around for a while, but the message is still just as relevant today as it

was back then.  I guess all things have to change but still, I wonder why….??   Remember

that old saying "if it's not broke, why fix it?"  I guess that just about sums it up for me.

I am not against any form of music and have to say that I have an appreciation for

most genres,  but I am against changing the style. 

Why can't the reformists just start a new style and leave the tried and true styles alone???
